The correct order needed for the Foundation of Faith

The fall meant that the universal order as created by God was turned upside down. Lucifer the angel, who should have been object to Adam the child of God, became subject to Adam.

Always fall means that the original subject-object order is turned upside down, and restoration of faith means that the original subject-object order is restored.

Peace under God is good. Peace is good as long as there are maintained the original positions of subject and object. But if peace means that Adam is obedient to an angel, and that Adam does not revolt against the angel, then that peace is evil peace.

Harmony is good when God’s side is subject. But when you in heavenly position are accepting to be object to someone who takes a worldly position, then that harmony will lead to trouble.

Fall always means that the position of original object dominates the position of original subject. Faith always means that the position of original subject can maintain or regain the dominating position in relation to the original object.

****

Let us try to understand what this means for an individual who is going the way of religion to restore his or her faith. An original person has a heart, mind and body relating to creation. The heart of the person relates to God.

If the mind dominates the heart, then fall takes place.

An example of this could be when someone wants to give a speech to pass on God’s principles. If you teach God’s Word from a heart united with God, then it is good to teach God’s Word. But if you teach God’s Word with your mind while your heart is not with God, then your teaching promotes fall.

Your heart is created to be subject to your mind. Any activities of your mind that are not under control of your heart centered on God, are evil. All activities of your mind under the control of your heart centered on God are good.

If you speak to other people, for example by giving a speech explaining God’s Word, and your heart is not with God, then your speaking can only be to take people away from God.

Only when your own heart is united in love with God you can speak words of truth in which God’s love is actually conveyed.

What does this mean in the life of practice for a teacher?

A teacher of God’s Word should never speak to people if he or she did not make an acceptable Foundation of Faith. Each person has to daily bring offerings to God. If you brought a good offering to God today, then on that foundation you can speak God’s Word in a truthful manner. But if you failed to bring a good offering to God today, then you should not speak to so-called pass on God’s Word to people. Because if you did not make an acceptable offering to God, then you were egoistic. Your heart is not with God, but with yourself. And then it is impossible for you to give a speech in which you pass on God’s love.

In God’s world, everything has to be whole and completed. Words should not be spoken if they are not coming from a loving heart. Actions should not be done if they don’t come from a truthful mind.

*****

Suppose that you want to do a task as given to you by a central figure under God. This task has to be done with your body. If your body is operating under a truthful mind, then the actions of your body will be acceptable to God. But if your body is operating under a mind that has feelings against God, then your offerings are not acceptable.

Cain brought an offering to God that he had prepared with his body. But God could not accept Cain’s offering, because Cain’s mind was not truthful and Cain’s heart was not desiring to give to God. Cain had feelings against God, even though Cain had prepared an offering.

If Cain had really only wanted to please God with his offering, then Cain would not have gotten angry when his offering could not be accepted. If Cain really had loved God, Cain would just have thought that he still wanted to give something to God, and he would have figured out how to change his offering in such a way that it would please God. But when God did not like Cain’s offering, Cain’s concerns were not for God, but they were against his brother Abel. Cain was just wanting to get blessings by making offerings to God, and when Cain thought that Abel would get the blessings that Cain wanted for himself, then Cain got jealous and angry at Abel and he murdered Abel.

****

What is important in religious life is that we accept the positions as God created them. God made love to be higher than intellect and emotions. Good love should reign our thoughts and feelings. If your thoughts are so-called good and original and principled, but your heart is not united in real love with God, then your thoughts will not be acceptable to God.

In practical daily religious life, this means that we should always keep the good order as installed by God. We should only act from good thoughts and feelings, and we should think and feel only out of love for God.

How can we assure ourselves that we are acting from the right order?

It is possible to check ourselves by demanding that we make a Foundation of Faith before we make a Foundation of Substance. Or: bring an acceptable offering to God before you speak and act. In any situation of life, our relation to God has to be in order.

The standard that is demanded for us is really very high. If you have a good relation to God today, then based on that you could do all kind of things. That is the same as saying: before you can make a good Foundation of Substance you have to make a Foundation of Faith.

If your relation to God is not in order, you cannot really act in any good way. You cannot make offerings, you cannot speak God’s Word, you cannot go out to prepare financial offerings to God.

Before you can make a Foundation of Substance, you have to make a Foundation of Faith. That means that you have to make your relation to God in order first.

If your relation to God broke down, then what you have to do?

You cannot make offerings to God as long as your relation to God is not in order.

****

There is one fundamental rule for life under God: You cannot deal with God as long as you are having love for and connections to evil. Before you can make a Foundation to receive the Messiah, you must have made a Foundation of Substance. Before you can make a Foundation of Substance, you must have made a Foundation of Faith. Before you can make a Foundation of Faith, you must separate yourself from evil.

The catchword for Foundation to receive the Messiah is: LOVE FOR YOUR NEIGHBOR

The catchword for Foundation of Substance is: PRACTICE OF TRUTH

The catchword for Foundation of Faith is: OFFERING TO GOD.

The catchword for separation from evil is: SEPARATION FROM EVIL.

Religious life is the life in which you each day practice the following four demands:

1. SEPARATION FROM EVIL

2. OFFERING TO GOD

3. PRACTICE OF TRUTH

4. LOVE FOR YOUR NEIGHBOR.

When you do really practice to live your life in this way, then you will surely grow. But if you try to offer to God without having separated from evil, you will be in trouble. If you try to practice the truth without having made your relation to God in order, you will be in trouble. If you try to love your neighbor without having practiced the truth, you will be in trouble.

God’s world is a world of exact order.

The Four-Position Foundation - for children (video)

The Four-Position Foundation - for children from John Eagles on Vimeo.

All that exists was made by God and is connected to God. God works through the unity between one of God's creations and another one in order to make something new. For example, through a father and a mother a new child is created. God, father, mother and child form four positions who ideally are united in God.

This video is to explain this principle for children.

Some details about the relationship between the spirit self and the physical self

HTML clipboard

The Divine Principle explains that there exists a relationship between the spirit self and the physical self. Both the spirit self and the physical self have a mind and a body, the mind being internal to the body in an external position. The spirit self has a spirit mind and a spirit body and the physical self has a physical mind and a physical body.

Certain elements pass from the spirit self to the physical self and vice versa. The elements of the spirit self that nourish the physical self are called life elements, the elements of the physical self that go to the spirit self are called vitality elements.

What are these life elements and vitality elements and how do they enter and influence the spirit self and the physical self? Life elements and vitality elements can be understood as specific energies. The connection between the spiritual reality and the physical reality is through energy. There are specific energies that influence our existence on its different levels.

To understand better how the spirit self and physical self can influence each other we must introduce the concept of chakras. Chakras are energy constructions that make our minds and bodies function on the level of energy. For example, in the body is a blood circulation system and a nerve system. In addition to that and other systems of the body, there is an energy system of chakras and energy channels.

Chakras have several functions. They are motors for energy, they are gates for energy, and they are reservoirs for energy. Each trait that a person has is stored in the form of energies in the chakras in combination with the energy channels.

Chakras are not only part of the spirit body. Also the physical body has chakras, the same as the spirit body. When, for example, a spirit makes use of the body of another person in the physical world, the chakras of that spirit merge to a certain degree with the chakras of the body of the physical person. Also memories of the spirit can enter the body of that physical person. This is a process that works better depending on several factors. For example, some people have bodies of which the chakras don't work very well. In that case it is very difficult for a spirit to make use of such a body. Also when the body of a physical person is better equipped, it still takes time and effort for a spirit to enter a body and bring in all his or her energies and memories.

In a normal situation there is a constant exchange of energies between the spirit self and the physical self. Depending on what the person desires, thinks, feels, plans and acts, the elements that are being exchanged are of a higher or a lower value. For example, if a person lives a life more centered on physical values, the physical mind and body attract energies of a lower vibration and these energies can clog the connection between the spirit self and the physical self.

If a person lives a life centered on God, he or she will attract good energies. These energies will be stored both in the physical self and the spiritual self. This is how a person can nourish the spirit with good vitality elements and feed the physical self with good life elements. The process of exchanging on the life- and vitality elements is a continuous one.

In a normal situation, the person's good spiritual self is guided by God's love and truth and other good energies existing in the spiritual world. For example, good angels can inspire people or we can be feel good when we come in a good spiritual atmosphere. When the spirit self controls the physical self in such a way that the person lives in accordance with these good inspirations from God, the physical self is inspired with good life elements, the physical self will blossom because it is being fed with love and truth in the form of life elements that the spirit self gives to the physical self.

All these elements, all these energies are primarily exchanged in the chakras, but also in other parts of the body because there exist many chakras in different parts of the body. For example, there also are chakras in the hands and the feet.

Because everything was created from God's love and energy, God's love and energy should play the dominant role in all these processes. Because of the fall, also false love and harmful energies have come into the spirit self and the physical self of most people. Another problem resulting from the fall is when people forgot about their spiritual existence. In that case the lack of awareness of the spiritual self causes that the spiritual self is not fed anymore with vitality elements from the body and also not anymore with God's life elements of love and truth.

The spiritual aspects of God's creations are eternal gifts of love, truth and energy

God created the universe and all beings and things. God created this from love. We also say that all beings and things originally are bodies of God's truth, expressing the fact that there is design and principle in all that God created. We know that all that exists is basically energy, therefore it is also correct to state that all beings and things are expressions of God's energy.

All beings and things were made from God's love, God's word and energy. Love represents the level of the heart, God's word comes from God's mind and energy can be seen as the basis of all that exists on the plane of bodies.

When we look at a flower, a tree, a plant or an animal, people, what do we see? We see a body that contains God's love, God's truth and God's energy.

There is a great diversity in all of creation. There are so many animals, plants and things that were all created by God. Why are there so many different creations of God? It can only be because God wants His love, truth and energy to reach each and everyone of God's living creations. Each flower, plant or animal or thing of nature was created by God to show us and give us God's love in a very unique way.

All that exists and that was not contaminated by evil gives to us expressions of God's love, principle and energy. We can find God, come to know God more deeply when we realize this and let God's love enter our hearts as God's love is expressed in the diverse creations.

In the Native American tradition there is a concept 'medicine.' Many things can be medicine. Of course, healing plants are medicine, but also certain things are considered to have the power of medicine. We seek healing for our wounded hearts in a world that has injured many of the living souls and killed others. The healing is in the love, truth and energy of God as given to us through God's creation, God's children who express God's love, the animals and plants and the things in the world of minerals. All this is medicine.

Look at a simple flower. That flower takes in the rays of the sun and the moon and the stars. The flower was made as a recipient of the energies that are made in the cosmos. Also we, human beings, receive those energies, but that particular flower, plant or tree, it was made to receive very special aspects of love, truth and energy. That flower is a specialized recipient that serves us by taking in and then sharing the love, truth and energy that we could not so easily receive directly.

This is how God created everything in a beautiful relationship of everyone and everything needing each other. This is not just a physical reality. Each living being or thing also has a kind of spiritual reality. While the physical existence is temporary for all beings and things, the spiritual reality is lasting. It means that while physically we may lose much of what was ours, spiritually we can keep that what we inherited and built up.

The spiritual reality of God's love, truth and energy is like a promise of God that what God has given us will be ours into all eternity. We can only understand God when we inherit this eternal or spiritual aspect of God's gifts to us.

Some principles concerning restoration of blood lines

When man was created, already the angels existed. We know the fall of man to be one of an invasion by angels. Man came under the influence of fallen angels and man's situation, man's heart, mind and body were affected by their fall.

A main result of the fall of man is what we call original sin. 'Original sin' is a concept that describes the first sin of man and it also refers to the first invasion by angels into man's existence. We can give names to later invasions by fallen angels, such as ancestral sins (referring to the sins of our ancestors), collective sin (referring to sins of groups of people), and personal sins (the sins a person committed in his or her own life).

Sin is making union with fallen angels or fallen people who are not centered on God. Sin can express through unprincipled desires, thoughts, feelings, actions.

Note that there are two typical sins. The first is sin committed with fallen angels, which is called the spiritual fall. The second is sin done through union with fallen people, which is called the physical fall.

The origin of sin is in the domination of man by evil angels. When we look at a human being and a family as a kind of house, the original sin was the first invasion of that house by an evil angel. That evil angel planted unprincipled elements into that house in the form of bad love, unwanted energies, wrong desires and false thoughts, tendencies for selfish actions.

When a family called Adam's family, consisting of a fallen Adam and fallen Eve, a fallen father and mother, has fallen, restoration is needed. The result of man's fall is visible in the children. The children are born in the invaded and corrupted house and grow up under the influence of the evil that fallen angels brought into that house.

What follows in that fallen house is a battle between God and Satan, Satan meaning evil angels and spirits. Note that this is firstly a spiritual battle. God is not visible in physical form. Evil angels and spirits live in spirit world.

In that house of fallen man, God and Satan both try to get more influence. When children are born and grow up, some of them will come more under the influence of Satan, others more under the influence of God, and a remaining category of children will be standing in the middle, very much like Adam and Eve after their fall.

Those children and descendants, bloodlines, which are under influence of God will inherit more internal qualities, such as love for God, good spiritual abilities. Those that are under influence from Satan develop more external qualities, such as intellect and authority. Those that are representing the original but now fallen and mixed bloodline will be quite divided, having both internal and external qualities, but also having good and evil tendencies contradicting and battling in them more extremely.

In the course of restoration, God will attempt to restore the lineage through these three lines developing. In God's eyes, each of these three bloodlines has a special mission. We know them as the missions of Cain to separate from the influence of evil angels and to protect the younger brother, the mission of Abel to represent God and pass on God's love and truth, and the mission of the mixed parental line to unite with Abel and to also help Cain to unite with Abel.

What will be needed for a full restoration of the original bloodline? What is needed is that the three bloodlines come together again, that all the qualities present in these three lines are being united once again, but now centered on God and on goodness.

How can original sin be eradicated? This is the same as asking how the original evil influence of the fallen angel who invaded the good human bloodline can be eradicated. The results of the original sin are in the form of the other categories of sin (ancestral, collective, personal) and also in the form of fallen natures that developed as a result of those sins.

Original sin was and is the making unity in love with and in affection for evil angels. To eradicate original sin, one must overcome the evil influences from the spiritual world.

Original sin is the root of all other sins and also the root of all fallen nature that developed in fallen man. Can it be eradicated without getting rid of the bad results in the form of sins and fallen nature that rooted in original sin? No, this is not possible.

When a person's original sin would be conditionally taken away, for example by a rebirth or adoption into a pure lineage, but the other sins and fallen natures would not be eradicated, then almost immediately fallen angels will be able to bring such a person to sin again, more or less re-creating a renewed form of original sin.

Then, in a next stage, a renewed physical fall could take place. From there on, restoration needs to take place again centered on three bloodlines, with a Cain person or line and an Abel person or line always being central and a third person or line having the task to mediate between Cain and Abel in a God-centered way.

The main positions taken in a family of restoration are those of Cain and Abel, and thirdly, Adam and Eve and the other children like them. The same principle applies for restoration beyond the level of a family, which is restoration of bloodlines that formed clans and tribes.
